KITTY CAT CAKE

I have spent a couple of weeks working on all the little details of this cake for a phenomenal girl who is turning 13 soon. Faith's Mom sent me pictures of her feline friends that mean the world to her. Now, they are immortalized in fondant--of all things--as they whip up a little soiree for their favorite girl. Gotta love those little kitties.
Boo-Boo, the blue Abyssinian, hoists a big gift for her best pal.
Nessie, the ruddy silver Abyssinian, is always getting into mischief and has gotten a head-start on the gift opening.
Shelby is the lazy tabby curled up on Faith's kitty cat tee with a golden noisemaker to get the party started.

COOKIES FOR SANTA!

The kids and I spent an evening experimenting with royal icing and sugar cookies--not my forte--but I figured worth posting all the same. The kids picked out their favorites to leave for Santa on Christmas Eve. Yummy, yummy in his big fat tummy.

MERRY CHRISTMAS--AGAIN!

What a busy day today was! I prepared around 50 cupcakes for the kids' class parties and 2 cakes for the foreign language department at Lassiter High School. All of the cupcakes were red velvet and cream cheese decorated with fondant Christmas decorations. The yummy chocolate cake was a devil's food with whipped chocolate ganache filling and glossy ganache with chocolate shavings.

PARTY ANIMALS!

Our neighbor, Laura, celebrated her 8th birthday today and requested that her Webkinz make an appearance on her cake as well. The cotton candy bunny, elephant and monkey celebrate atop a candy covered chocolate cake with purple vanilla bean frosting.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I created these Christmas cupcakes on the fly for a tree decorating party. The red velvet cupcakes are adorned with fondant candy canes and bows, snowflakes, stars, ornaments and trees. I really loved the CK gold disco glitter on the ornaments and stars that top the trees: it was the first occasion I had had to use the gold glitter and I will definitely be ordering some more to bling out my cakes in the future.

WEDDING SHOWER CUPCAKES

Shimmering fondant rosebuds, butterflies, hearts and pearls top these red velvet and cream cheese wedding shower cupcakes. I am so happy with the way they turned out. I can't wait to do some more!

WEBKINZ BONANZA!!!

Happy birthday kids! I worked for quite a long time on all the various pieces of this cake which was inspired by my kids' love/obsession with Webkinz. The theme of the cake is a take on the online game Candy Bash Viva Poncho complete with a taco and chile wielding black and white cat decked out in a sombrero and a desert background. The top tier is red velvet and cream cheese and the bottom tier is chocolate with whipped chocolate ganache.

USE THE FORCE, COLLIN.

My little brother, Collin, turned 27 today. He is such a science- fiction lover and Star Wars is his favorite. I used the Williams-Sonoma Star Wars cookie cutters to stamp out the Yoda face: I highly recommend them! I also highly recommend the cupcakes!
