Kevin, the California King Snake is a recently acquired pet belonging to my friend's son, Jacob. So, of course, he wanted a snake cake for his birthday. Check out the scales: I made them by pressing an onion bag into the fondant. Pretty cool. I hope Kevin tastes as good as he looks :).I just received this email from Amy:
"Hey Freya, The Kevin cake was a huge success! When Jacob came home from school and saw the cake, he was so excited. Everyone loved the cake and it was very tasty too. All the adults commented on how cool it was. They all wanted to know who made it. I was actually sad to cut into it. Jacob wanted the middle chocolate part. All the other kids were fighting over the head."
