LUAU CAKE AND CUPCAKES

It's one of those years where the my kids with fall and winter birthdays insisted upon another "fake birthday party," so that they could have a pool party. Because I was expecting a huge crowd, I had to make tons of cake and cupcakes. I made 50 red velvet/cream cheese and lemon/lemon cupcakes topped with a variety of tropical toppers. The birthday cake was inspired by the party city napkin's floral theme. It was very yummy marble cake with chocolate frosting. Best of all, it was such an AWESOME party!

WEDDING SHOWER CUPCAKES

Shimmering fondant rosebuds, butterflies, hearts and pearls top these red velvet and cream cheese wedding shower cupcakes. I am so happy with the way they turned out. I can't wait to do some more!

Jamaican-inspired garden cake

I made this cake for my daughter's third grade teacher who just welcomed a baby girl into his family. The lemon cake is filled with lemon buttercream and lemon curd iced with more lemon buttercream. The cake features flowers, fruits and tiny creatures that I chose to honor the baby's Jamaican heritage.

Light lemon cupcakes with lemon frosting

Ahhh, the fresh taste of lemon in a buttery, citrus cupcake. So good!

Girly gerber daisy cupcakes

A gumpaste gerber daisy tops a big dollop of yellow cream cheese frosting. So pretty!

Albert's flower pot cake

I made this cake for a friend's daughter. It was inspired by the her favorite goodnight story in which Albert's animal friends make him a flower pot cake.

whimsical butterfly cake

This is my graduation cake from my fondant and gum paste class that I took over the summer. This red velvet is frosted with cream cheese and chocolate cream cheese underneath my homemade marshmallow fondant. OMG, was it good! I worked so hard on those gum paste orchids.
